I used some shims in order to mount it flat on my ceiling. The blades has some white powder on them that got all over my hands; wondering how much of this will come off over time and cleaning. The remote and it's cleaver mounting box will be very useful as I don't have a dedicated light switch in this room. The adjustable light is nice, as is being able to reverse the fan without climbing up to flip a switch."

A great, sleek and modern
"A great, sleek and modern fan in brushed brass tone with distressed look fan blades. Three bladed fan. 52” size. Full function remote with ability to: 1. Three speeds. Low, medium, high. 2. Light on/off. Dim low to high. 3. Reverse switch. Remote has magnetic wall holder so remote can be removed or magnetically held on wall holder. Assembly is straightforward. Instructions are in IKEA style pictures with some wording. Remote feature instructions very thorough wording. All necessary hardware included though I used Wago connectors in place of wire nuts. To install first install top unit to outlet box. Then motor assembly connects to that unit. Round trim piece then attaches to top unit. Next install the 3 blades with groove side down. Then plug in and attach the LED light. Glass cover screws on. Number 2 Philips screw driver is only tool necessary. Stuffing remote receiver and wires into proper space is a minor challenge but readily doable. All wires are color coded. “L” stands for Load and is the “hot” wire—the black wire. Very quiet operation and easy to use. Remote is pre-synced for connection. Highly recommend."
Let me just say this
"Let me just say this fan was the easiest one I've ever installed. The directions were straight forward and clear. I would say I've installed about 50 fans throughout my houses over the years and this one was a breeze all around. When you install the base to the junction box it's nice they put te hook on there so you don't have to use a hook you put together from scrap parts from the garage. The connections are goof proof and all marked for where to install for the handy magnetic remote. What I really like is it's now app based, you can hook it up through the app to Alexa, or Google Home. It's pretty nice when you're scrolling on your phone and you can turn the light off from the comfort of your bed. It comes with a Cree light so you don't have to worry about changing bulbs, and it's super adjustable for color temperature and brightness. The magnetic remote cradle is nice too if you don't opt for using the app. My wife really likes the gold touch which draws your eyes to the crisp and clean look it brings to our room. You have two options of fan blades which you just flip around. Ones a dark wood grain look and the other is all black which we chose. When you have this fan on FULL BLAST setting three you would be pressed to wonder what engineering magic they performed to make it so quiet. I can't sleep if the fan is running and I can hear a click or tick running from my fan and the only thing you hear is a whisper. All and all I'm very happy how this turned out. I'll looking forward using it for years to come!"
