36" Ganga Industrial Downrod Mount Ceiling Fan with Lighting and Remote Control

I received the Flint Garden 36 in. Indoor Industrial Matte Black Caged Retractable Ceiling Fan with Remote and Light Kit. This 36-in ceiling fan features retractable blades and semi-exposed lighting for a farmhouse or industrial look. I would have to say that this is a very unique light that happens to surprise everyone when the fan blades pop out. The grid metal shade surrounds 3-lights and opens up at the bottom. It has 3 speeds, low noise, and comes with a remote control. It can adjust for different heights and is sloped ceiling compatible.

The Parrot Uncle ceiling fan looks like a classic industrial design with a black metal open cage light cover, but the retractable fan blades add a unique twist. The kit comes with two down rod options. The short 4 inch rod is good for short ceilings, but it makes the installation a bit more difficult because of the tight space to finish the wiring. I went with the 10 inch down rod. I think it looks good with 7 ½ foot ceilings and much easier to install, but maybe not a good option if you’re 6 foot tall. Installation goes a little quicker than a typical ceiling fan because with the retractable blades they come pre-assembled. The light fixture requires three medium-base bulbs that are not included. The lights are either on or off, so no need for dimmable bulbs. The fan control gives you 3 speeds along with 3 timers to automatically turn off the fan. You’ll need a long Phillips head screwdriver to reach the screws holding the cage to the fixture.
