It is a combination of a retractable ceiling fan and a crystal chandelier. The fan is fantastic, beautiful, shiny chrome with crystals and a gauzy ribbon shade. The clear ceiling fan blades extend when you turn it on and retract when you turn it off, so it looks like a chandelier when not in use. It puts out a lot of wind movement. No shake or wobble. It has a remote control for the fan speed but the lights are not dimmable.

we have a Retractable 3-Blade fan in one room and we like it so i ordered this one for another room. it arrived in 4 days well packed and in new condition.it is heavier then i expected and looks to be very well made. the install is a standard ceiling light install. it looks great on or off and the remote makes it very usable, i love the remote and i will not buy any fan without remote control. we love this one!

JUST AS I HOPED FOR -- 42 INCH UNCLE PARROT FANDOLIER IS BEAUTIFUL. INSTALLER FRIEND RATES IT A 9 FOR EASE OF INSTALLATION AND INSTRUCTIONS...I PERSONALLY RATE THE BEAUTY AND QUALITY A HIGH 10. EVERYTHING WORKS GREAT FROM THE FAN TO THE LIGHTING TO THE REMOTE. USED SIX E-12 25WATT BULBS AND THE LIGHT PUTS OUT A BRIGHT 150 WATTS..FAN IS THREE SPEED. I DO NOT HAVE WIRING TO SUPPORT SEPARATE SWITCHES TO DIM THE LIGHTS. IT'S NOT A BIGGIE FOR ME, ALTHOUGH A DIMMER WOULD BE A NICE BONUS =) HAPPY WITH PURCHASE - UNDER $200 WILL TRY TO POST PHOTO LATER.
