"Great fan. Install instructions are a bit tough to follow. Make certain to install blades on top of motor not bottom. If u do it on bottom motor won’t engage. Also, the ceiling mount cover design is awful. First it’s barely big enough for everything, so if your box is a bit recessed and the remote won’t fit completely in, neither will cover. Also, second acre on cover plate is bloody impossible to mount. Instead of the standard large eyelet to small that is typical for both screws, this fan has one, then u thread the tiny screw through a tiny hole, then thread past all the wires in hopes of making it to the tiny screw hole in the mount unit. It can’t be done by anyone but a professional. Result? Both my fans have top covers skewed with wire nuts poking out. And f-it, I’m simply not spending hours trying to get that scre in while standing on a ladder or a bed. I guess maybe if one installed in newer construction or had an electrician replace their box and install professionally. But if you are self installing on older properties, good luck."
