The Parrot Uncle Edmund 42
"The Parrot Uncle Edmund 42 in. Indoor Black Modern Crystal Retractable Ceiling Fan with Remote and Light Kit is so unique in its style and functionality. It's special design and characteristics really stands out and draws attention. It's a beautiful addition to any room and the six lights are nice and bright. A dimmer on the lights would add too its ambience. It's pretty simple to install with the directions. The crystals add Lustre to its vibrant look, but could be packed better as quite a few were broke but was able to make them work. A remote should have a wall mount for no charge. Not optional for a great product like this. Overall looks fantastic, easy installed, and very affordable."

I was looking to upgrade
"I was looking to upgrade the ceiling fan in my daughter's room, as it was an older model in white. I was quite impressed with the Parrot Uncle Edmund 42 in. Indoor Black Modern Crystal Retractable Ceiling Fan! This is the most unique ceiling fan that I have ever owned/installed! The fan has retractable blades! So, when not in use, the blades stay tucked away and we get to enjoy the beautiful chandelier with its array of brilliant crystals! With a mere selection from the remote, the fan is activated and the blades extend to cool the room! It is an amazing effect! Simply turn off the fan function and the blades retract once again! The fan is of a very high quality and design! The installation instructions are excellent! I took the time to read the manual carefully as I knew that I was connecting wiring for both the main unit and the remote control box! No issues at all! My daughter loves her new fan! I highly recommend this ceiling fan for anyone looking to add or upgrade!"

This fan is amazing. I
"This fan is amazing. I truly love this fan. I recently wrote a review on a different Parrot Uncle fan. I loved it, but could not score it high marks. This fan I can! Even though it may look like something a tinkerer built, it is stunning! It really did dress up the dining room. I have been testing various fans and styles of fans and lights in the dining room over the past couple years. First it was just lights. Then we realized it got stuffy in the dining room when we were all together hanging out eating and playing games. We need some air movement. So we started trying various fans. Some the lights were not bright enough. Some looked out of place. Not everyone wants the look of a fan in the dining room. Then I had high hopes for the other Parrot Uncle fan I tried that was absolutely stunning, but found it had some issues we were not willing to overlook. It was super heavy. Airflow was ok, but noisy to get the air flow we wanted. And when the fan was running the lights gave off a flickering effect. Not the case with this fan. It is light. It is stunning. It gives off even better light than expected. The airflow is better than I originally thought, even on low. And it stays very quiet even on the highest setting. And when the fan is off, you don't really see the blades. You would forget they are there. They move back in so it just looks like part of the top of the light. I can stop looking for solutions now. I have found the fan and light that fits perfectly with the space and what we wanted. Things that interested me. The canopy cover is a little metal ring that attaches with two small magnets. The mounting bracket appears to be the best built I have seen. The hole spacing was slightly larger than most. There is a 10" downrod included, which we chose to use on our install instead of the 4" downrod. There is no winter mode for this fan. Based on the blade design, it makes sense. Installation: All I can sa"
