The ceiling fan came nicely boxed with all components in a separate slots. One screw on the mounting bracket was very hard to turn, but after turning it in and out it became easier, make sure to check all the screws on the mounting plate before installing, adjusting the screws is much easier when it's not attached to the ceiling. Instructions are not detailed, make sure you are doing each step correctly before going on to the next step. Wiring can be done for a variety of wall switch options. My switch was a simple one that operated the light and fan, but if you have a switch that operates the light and fan separately this unit is designed for that as well. The fan has 3 speeds and the LED light can be turned to different temperatures, 3000K, 4000K, and 6000K, using the remote (the remote does not come with batteries, 2 AAA required). The remote receiver unit must be added when your doing the installation, I choose not to install it as my fan was for the kitchen and the wall switch for it is just by the entrance. Wiring the remote is not difficult but it has a receiving unit you must install inside the fan unit before you attach it to the ceiling. The 48 watt LED's give off plenty of light. The unit is Semi Matt Nickel with 3 light brown/gray plywood wood grain blades. The blades provide a lot of air flow and can be, using a switch on the unit, be directed either up or down. The unit is 10 inches deep, 48 inches wide and weights about 12 lbs. The mounting bracket has a hook and the unit comes with a steel wire so you can suspend it while you compete the wiring. The wiring is color coded and labeled so wiring is simple. Comes with a LIMITED life time warranty and free parts. The unit looks good in our kitchen, matches our nickel hardware and has welcome clean lines.
