Picking up the box I thought this must be a really small, cheap, lightweight ceiling fan. Looking at the blades, they’re made out of plastic and the small motor is about the size of a 8 in. two-layer cake. So where do I put this. I finally decided an upstairs computer room where nobody would see it. Unpacking the box, the instructions seemed clear. Another look at the plastic blades, they’re precisely made, you can see that someone put some engineering into them. The material was smooth and the design was excellent. The installation was challenging because I assembled parts and connected wires overhead, but it went well. I mixed up the canopy and canopy cover, wire nuts were somewhat a problem and I had to strip a little more wire than given. When I twist stranded wire with solid wire, I like to strip the stranded wire a little longer so it can wrap around the solid wire. Wago connectors would have been nice especially for all the ground wires. The remote does everything, even reversing the direction of the blades.. Now I realize how high tech the fan is, no more ugly flat blades, these blades mimic wind turbines. The fan is quiet except for pleasant wind noise at higher speeds, and it’s solid, no wobbling. Its compact and powerful too. The remote seems to have some delay, but it’s just different. What a nice fan!
