This Parrot Uncle Anyan 52 inch ceiling fan looks modern and is surprisingly quiet. The fan only makes a noticeable sound on the highest speed which is 3, and you’re really only hearing the movement of air, not the motor. On speeds 1 and 2 it is whisper quiet. Speed 3 moves a lot of air, I noticed papers and things of such rustling on the dressers in my bedroom, so most of the time I use either speed 1 or 2. This fan comes with a remote control that is able to turn the lights on/off, and it also turns the fan on/off and adjusts the speeds 1, 2, 3 (see photo). The remote control also has buttons marked 2 hour, 4 hour and 8 hours, but there is no reference to what these control in the instructions. I’m not sure if it would turn off both the fan and the lights after the allotted time, or just the lights. There are no pull chains to control anything on the fan speed or light functions, so if you lose the remote you will not be able to turn the fan on/off. There is a forward and reverse button on the fan housing itself which allows for either updrafts or downdrafts due to different seasons, however you are not able to control that with the remote. If you mount the fan up high you’re going to need a ladder to change its direction manually. My favorite part about this fan is it’s relatively easy to install, and even comes with a handy hook on the ceiling bracket that allows you to hang the motor housing from as you wire it up (see photo). Not having to hold the motor housing as you wire it is a gem, and it really frees up your hands. Overall this fan looks sharp and is built really well. Assembly is relatively easy and is even helped as the wires are marked as to which other wire they should be connected to. Assembly should take you about one hour. I give this fan 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it.
